Here are some frequently asked questions that may provide you more info about Loading Dock Raleigh. If you would like to speak to our Community Manager send us a message or go ahead and schedule a tour. We look forward to hearing from you!

Q:  What’s Coworking?
A:  Think of your favorite coffee shop and replace the spotty wifi with enterprise level internet. Add in free beverages, comfortable chairs and desks, people you actually know and like to work with, and anything else you need to get the job done including printers, copiers, and conference rooms!

Q: Why Coworking?
A: The whole idea of co-working is to bring bright, creative people together and let the ideas collide. Find out more here.

Q:  Can anyone be a member at Loading Dock Raleigh?
A:  Absolutely! We’re best for freelancers, entrepreneurs, creatives, remote professionals and small teams, but we’re open to any profession. If you’re tired of working alone at home then we’re for you.

Q:  How do I sign up?
A:  Please schedule a tour so we can meet you! From there we'll schedule a time for you to come in for orientation. During orientation we'll set up your member account and explain how the space works.

Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Loading Dock Raleigh (LDR) is open for all members and guests Monday - Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. However, if you have an 24/7 membership plan (coworking or office suite), you have access to the space whenever you need it!

Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes, Loading Dock Raleigh is pet-friendly! Once our staff meets your pup and you sign our Dog Liability Waiver (plus a one-time $25 fee), your furry friend(s) are always welcomed at LDR!

Q: Do I have to sign a lease agreement?
A: Nope! We want you to have all of the flexibility that you need as a remote worker, solopreneur or small team. So, our membership plans are based on a month-to-month structure. If you need a flexible space for a little while or a dedicated office suite, we can help. We also offer 6-, 12- and 18-month contracts with discounts if that would help you and/or your team out.

Q: I have a meeting with guests/clients. Do I need to let anyone know they are coming?
A: Our staff is happy to welcome your guest(s) or client(s) when they arrive at LDR. They’ll check in at our front desk and we’ll offer them water or coffee. Then our team will shoot you a message or help them find your workspace, private office suite or conference room.

Q: How large are your private office suites?
A: Currently, our office suites are available for 2-6 people and come with that corresponding number of memberships. However, as we expand across the Southeast, we will have space for larger teams. Also, did we mention that they are fully-furnished? Stop by for a tour to see an office suite for yourself!

Q: How large are your conference rooms?
A: We have a variety of options when it comes to conference rooms. Our smallest rooms offer space for 4 people, while our larger rooms offer space for 6-10 people. If you need more space than that, no need to fret... our Classroom holds 40-45 people!

Q: If I have a meeting scheduled on the weekend, can I still rent a conference room?
A: It depends on your membership plan. If you have a 24/7 membership plan, you can book conference rooms and access the space anytime! You’ll use the KISI app to access the space and our Loading Dock Raleigh app allows you to book rooms as needed.

Q: Where do I park? Do I have to pay for parking?
A: Our parking on campus is FREE, which is a huge cost savings and headache-reliever for you, your team and your clients! There aren’t any assigned spots, so you can park anywhere in the Dock 1053 parking lot.

Q: I am not a member of LDR, but I want to book a room. Can you make that happen for me?
A: Absolutely, we would love to host your meeting in our space! Our Community Coordinator, Kenzie Hunnings (kenzie@loadingdockraleigh.com), just needs to know what room you need and when you need it! She will help you out with pricing per hour or for the day for each room.

Q: What are your core values?
A: We’re all about:

  1. Doing others good

  2. Pursuing meaningful work

  3. Collaboration

  4. Encouraging one another!
