Helping Spark Change in North Carolina

Loading Dock Member, Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation, welcomed nine fellows this May for their annual summer Fellowship, doubling number of fellows from years past.  Nine talented women will work in two teams to help spark change in the North Carolina Community.

The first team will focus on food systems in North Carolina.  The fellows partnered with organizations such as Raleigh City Farms, Center for Environmental Farming Systems, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, and Merritt's Chapel United Methodist Church.  The other team will work with organizations that are involved with early childhood, including North Carolina Network of Grantmakers, Prevent Childhood Abuse North Carolina, Education NC, and Durham's Partnership for Children.

We cannot wait to see what all these nine fellows accomplish this summer and beyond, and we are so excited to be able to see how all the hard work they have put in to making North Carolina a better place pays off!  To learn more about Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation, as well as their Fellowship program and upcoming events, you can visit their website at https://www.jamiekirkhahnfoundation.org.

Special thanks to Tiffany Turner and Kelli Raker for their help on this post.
